Can a wrong make things right? Wrong Turn Christmas #anaiahpress #holidayromance #countdowntochristmas

April is desperate to eliminate her dad’s cancer bills so her family can enjoy the holidays. But, on her way to get legal assistance, she ends up at the wrong house. There, she finds a warm and caring soul… but a boyfriend won’t solve her family’s financial issues.

Jake is surprised to find a beautiful woman on his doorstep asking for help. It’s a case of mistaken identity, but after spending just a little time with April, he knows they are perfect for each other—even if she does have bad taste in football teams. Except April is facing an uphill battle, and he believes he has nothing of real value to offer. Or does he?

One wrong turn might just end up turning a Christmas crisis into a Christmas miracle.

Welcome, Katy!

Tell us how your characters celebrate the holidays

April’s family is very close, so they all gather at her parents’ house for a big meal, exchanging of gifts, and eating Christmas cookies. Except maybe this year, as her dad is battling cancer and cookies are the last thing on their minds. Jake’s celebrations are more low-key since his dad retired to Florida. If he isn’t able to travel for the holidays, he celebrates with his sister and friends.

Does your hero have a favorite Christmas carol or movie? Does your heroine?

None featured in the novella, but Jake is like a big, innocent kid so he’d probably like Home Alone. I would peg April as a fan of It’s a Wonderful Life.

What is the theme of this book?

The theme is to persevere through the challenges we face and not to shut out those trying to help in the process. There is often nothing we can do to change our circumstances, but we do have a choice about how we respond. Rely on the help of others and take our worries to God!

Why do you write this genre? What inspired this story? Do you write any other genres?

I write Christian romance because I think it’s the perfect mix of inspiration and innocent entertainment. There’s nothing like getting wrapped up in a sweet story that has you rooting for the hero and heroine while also being encouraged in your faith. I don’t recall where I came up with the plot for this story, but my dad had cancer when I was about April’s age, so it was easy to write about the feelings and events she faced in the story.

Any tips to share with fellow authors/aspiring authors? What’s the best advice you’ve ever heard?

Continue to do what you love! But do it for the joy of writing – don’t expect to get rich off of it 🙂 That said, establishing a core group of readers that will help you promote your book is helpful, as you can only reach so many people through your own network and social media channels.

What is your favorite Christmas tradition and/or memory?

I have two sons, ages 11 and 14. Ever since they were old enough, we’ve had an annual tradition of baking various kinds of Christmas cookies with my mom, my sister, and my nieces. We look forward to it every year, and we’re constantly on the lookout for new recipes to add to our stash!

Finally! Real Christmas tree? Or fake?

Real – love the smell! And each year you get a slightly different look.

At the end of my post is a link to the next blog, who will provide a link to the next blog, etc., to the very end, creating a circle (a round-robin) visit through all of the authors’ blogs.

I’m thrilled to get the chance to tell you about my book Her Homegrown Christmas Wish. This is the fourth and final book in the Home to Harmony series. I can think of no better way to wrap up a series!

All five-year-old Olivia Beacon wants for Christmas is a dad…

How on earth is single mom Hannah Beacon supposed to make that happen? To make matters worse, her holiday season is off to a rocky start. Between transferring ownership of the family bakery amid her mom’s decline, raising her young daughter, and the onslaught of Christmas orders, she can’t handle much more. And then her estranged husband shows up on her doorstep.

In the New Year, Daniel Ford is set to begin production on a TV show for the Hope and Family network. After years in the industry, the role is his biggest break yet. But when he sees his wife on screen with a mini version of herself, he realizes his shot at fame is on the line.

Together, Daniel and Hannah agree to start legal divorce proceedings—until Daniel comes face to face with the child that spurred his return. He can’t walk out of his daughter’s life, nor can he continue to deny his feelings for his wife. Will the career Daniel’s always wanted take center stage? Or can the two forgive past hurts to make their daughter’s Christmas wish a reality?

Home to Harmony is a series about faith, family, and forgiveness. It’s about all kinds of second chances. It’s about coming home–even when home might mean an entirely new place.

Let’s begin this scavenger hunt! Go to the book on Amazon at this link and check out the Look Inside.

Find the answer to this question:

What does Hannah grab from a jar for her unexpected visitor?

When you have the answer, FILL OUT THIS FORM and head on to the next blog!

Thank you so much for visiting! The next author on the tour is Danielle Grandinetti, who is telling us all about her Christmas book As Silent As The Night. You can find it at this link. Remember that the round-robin will end on December 11th at 11:59 PM EST!
