I don’t often discuss my personal life on here (or social media at all). And that’s for the very good reason that my life isn’t that enthralling. Trust me, all my stories are pure invention!

At the moment, however, I am in the midst of a house renovation. It’s exciting, expensive, and eye-opening. Lots of decisions (some made months in advance and others on the spot). Good thing I know my mind and my taste and exactly what I want 🙂

With the chaos comes a lot of noise and upheaval. I love a schedule but am adapting to not having my time completely mapped out. I finished a first draft and am taking time before jumping into any major edits (a nice little lull). I don’t want to completely stop writing during the project, so I’ve found a compromise.

Flash fiction

Flash fiction are 1,000 word short stories. I’m having a lot of fun revisiting beloved characters (both main and secondary) and continuing their stories. I’ve recently submitted one story to an online magazine for an upcoming issue. If it is accepted, I’ll give you a heads up. I’m planning on sharing the stories as bonuses for my newsletter subscribers (sign up here).
