Second chances + lesson plans

I’m back to pose the questions to Stephanie Patricks the heroine of Catch A Cowboy.

Tell us three things we’d find if we looked under your heroine’s bed?

Stephanie loves to keep things neat and organized. But she’s also managing a million things at once. Teaching school, working at the ranch, and running Herd’s special events. Often, her apartment and car get completely overwhelmed with boxes full of paperwork. So, in one of those times, lesson plans, event schedules, and a yoga strap might roll under the bed.

What is the theme of this book?

This is a book about second chances (one of my very favorite themes because it depends a lot on hope and forgiveness for success) and what comes after a loss.

Do you write any other genres?

I have written Christian contemporary romances in the past (and hopefully the future!) and am adding in a little bit of mystery with my upcoming series The Shores of Loon Lake. I primarily write sweet contemporary romance but like to stretch myself to the challenge of other genres.

Any tips to share with fellow authors/aspiring authors?

Writing is a solitary business so find trusted author friends! Other writers can help brainstorm, critique, and push you to the next level. Also–when bad things happen, don’t share it on the internet, reach out to your friends. And genuine friends will be thrilled to celebrate your good news with you too.
