Every year, I track how many words I write. For a variety of reasons, 2024 was a smaller word output year. When I first looked at the numbers, I was feeling down about what I’d accomplished this year. BUT as soon as I started to review what else happened, I realized this was a very exciting year for me in my publishing career.
- hit the Amazon AND Barnes & Noble best-seller lists for the first time ever with Her Unlikely Homecoming
- wrote just under 100,000 words
- attended 8 (!) book events, including a bucket-list signing at Barnes & Noble
- after the closing of one of my publishers, I re-released the entire Home to Harmony series myself
- released a brand-new trilogy, Match Made in Montana, with Rowan Prose: Finders Keepers, Cowboy Catch a Cowboy Unmasking a Cowgirl
- my first ever audiobook is out: Finders Keepers, Cowboy with the fabulous narrator Lisa Lynn Sandlin
- released the first book in ANOTHER brand-new trilogy, The Ghost of Loon Lake, from Harbor Lane Books
AND…I have even more news to share.

Getting books translated with a foreign publisher has been one of my big author goals! This is such a dream come true. Even more so because my Italian great-grandmother learned English by watching black and white Westerns on TV. My cowboys heading to Italy is a full circle moment.
2025 already looks bright and shiny for my books! I have news about the release for the audiobook of The Ghost of Loon Lake (I’ll share soon) and will have more to share about the other two books in the series. I’m editing a couple new projects for submission. AND I have a fantastic idea for a 4-book series I think you’re going to love that I’m dedicating 2025 to writing.
Wishing you a happy holiday season and all of us a healthy new year!
