Hey everyone!
When you open your copy of Summer Camp Cold Case, a novel I’m self-publishing in July, you’re going to see something a little different on the copyright page.
Human authored certification.
Yep, we’ve now reached a point where we are certifying that we, human authors, are writing our own words.
I’ll be honest, having my words stolen to train LLMs was crushing. But somehow it is even worse now.
Authors are being accused of using AI because our words sound like they were produced via those terrible programs. Do you know why that is? Because they stole our work and regurgitate our stories. Essentially, we were plagiarized and continue to be victimized by these programs.
My publishers are vehemently anti AI work (as they should be) but for my self-published titles, I wanted to have a way to show my promise to you that I am behind my novels. So going forward, on my self-published titles, I will include a human authored certification.
