#sytycw15 Update

I’m so excited to announce that my entry for Heartwarming, Tidal Patterns, is a top 25 finalist!

Thank you to everyone who voted, who added me to a reading list, who retweeted, and who hustled to help me. I would not have made the cut for the next round without your support and encouragement. Telling everyone I’ve ever met about my book (and my series for sale on Amazon) was a slightly intimidating prospect. But the positive responses to my writing have overwhelmed me.

The editors will read all 25 manuscripts and select the top ten. Getting this book in front of them has been my contest goal and I have to keep pinching myself that I’ve made it. For the time being, Tidal Patterns will remain on Wattpad. If you’d like to read the rest of the book, please do! And please leave me comments!

Thank you again.

Last day to vote! Please vote now!

Today is the last day to vote for the So You Think You Can Write contest. I’ve made it to the Top 50 round with Tidal Patterns my sweet romance. The top 25 (as chosen by the public! Please vote!) will move to the next round (the editors will read the full manuscript and choose the top 10).

I am so thrilled to have made it this far in the competition. This is my third time entering and the first time I’ve ever made the semi-finals. Please help me get to the next round and vote for Tidal Patterns pitch/part 1 and chapter one/part 2.

Elizabeth Shaw is the preeminent, and only, wedding planner at the historic beach resort on Jekyll Island. She’s sure she’ll land the newly created role overseeing all major events. Then she’ll get a raise and won’t be forced to leave.

Mark Edwards doesn’t need any more stress. He’s ready to slow down and enjoy the tiny seaside town he calls home. His boss pushes him to apply for the new management position and he agrees. After a decade in catering, he’s sure he can do the events job without any trouble.

Neither counted on the other getting in the way.

My experience with So You Think You Can Write this year has been surreal. Making it to the semi-finals? Amazing. The support of my family and friends? Unbelievable.

Thank you to everyone who has voted for me. I’m crossing my fingers to make it to the next round (come on, who isn’t?!) but even coming this far has been possible with your love and support. I don’t know what comes next, but I can say I’m excited for it.
